THANK GOD FOR JESUS

T hank God for Jesus Christ. Thank God for making the ultimate sacrifice for man. Man in our fallibility is beyond redemption by his own standard We already failed in our ability to redeem ourselves After a series of personal experience and inward reflection, I put it that we all are not without sin No matter how hard we try to prove we can do it on our own the more we fail There is no perfection in sin, since the Eden experience where man embraced sin the perfection of the flesh was corrupted Thank God for the perfection of His Son. God cannot and will never behold sin, but yet he still tolerates us No it isn’t double standard, but mercy Mercy on who? You Through who? His Son When God looks at us, he doesn’t see us in our nature We in ourselves cannot behold his presence with our filth no matter our self-righteousness He sees his ultimate sacrifice in us, when God looks at us He sees his Son’s sacrifice And it is becaus...

REFLECTIONS

Wide awake, not that I can’t sleep, but it won’t be that comfortable on office chairs Wide awake listening to jazz; Kenny G’s classic collection, mood soothing, quiet reflections Settling the mind down to think and recount on so many things: Life, experience, expectations, and challenges, bad habits, etc. I cannot help it but be thankful; it’s been quite a journey 26years in the making and still a work in progress, people still call that young, but time flies And that’s the part that scares me somewhat, that time is fleeting and age creeps up slowly Anyways, I’m looking forward and ahead to New Year, thank God for now I pray His grace to keep me till tomorrow, like a great man once said “it’s been a long walk…” Indeed it has really been, and I cannot begin to recount my chronicles in the small piece A recap might just put things into perspective; my family’s great, my job a blessing and still a lot of better days ahead, my life; still got much t...

GOD, LOVE, AND RELATIONSHIPS

I’m no expert in relationships, but the ideas most people have about it are most of the time very baffling, especially when it comes to the aspect of love. Now I’m not taking a general stand or view of it, my perspective is from the Christian view. Yes I mean Christian relationships! As a man, I want a God-fearing lady who is virtuous, intelligent (able to spark a conversation with on politics, ICT or general issues). The same may go for a Lady (add financial security to the list) who’s waiting for her prince charming to come. Though some profess to be Christians, yet a lot of time their lives and relationships reflect a purely human ideology and understanding of love. How can we say we understand love and leave God out of its definition? God is love, and He expressed it to us by sending His Son Jesus Christ to bear all our sins so that His perfection will be placed on our account through His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Instead of accepting God's definition of l...

SOCIAL SITES, SOCIALIZING, AND SCAMS

The introduction of social sites has really defined the term socializing and networking. During my younger days it was about going to parties, or visiting a friend or colleagues of your parents and that’s how you network and make friends and the most common way was the educational institution. It was cool then, because you actually met people, spending time outdoors. Now with the introduction of Facebook; let’s go back a bit as far as I can remember Hi5. Back in the school days it was a Hi5 rave but yet we still took socializing outside. At the introduction of Facebook Gbam! Outdoor networking went extinct. We all subscribed to it though (don’t be ashamed), yes it was a faster way to connect with friends but at some point it evolved to meeting random people from almost all corners of the world and works of life and the ultimate question is ARE WE FRIENDS? I mean do I actually want to be your friend. In my opinion the social network is a cool way of getting information, prying, and s...

WhyAreYouLookingForReasons?

Do not commit adultery, do not lust after flesh Do not steal, do not kill Do not covet your neighbor's property, obey your parents You have to be born again to enter the Kingdom of God Be far from iniquity, seek wisdom Lean not on your own understanding, pray for your enemies Forgive your enemies, thank God always Surrender to Him, harden not your heart You have broken all the commandments; you have neglected the teaching and instruction of God Yet you still looking or wanting an explanation, haven’t you seen the result of your actions Are you blind to the actions of your disobedience? You have been running for far too long, searching in vain for revelations you can’t yet receive Looking for a rationale to prove you don’t need Him So far so good this is where you at; you’re lost, depressed, confused, alone and lonely, heart broken Jesus Christ said abide in me and have everlasting life, accept Me and be saved He said ask anything and He will do it...
