KNOW THY SOURCE

Knowledge is power, and information is knowledge, and one can say information is power. More important is the source of knowledge or the information, and in every aspect of life it holds meaning and significance in our lives. The authenticity of the knowledge that is sought sharpens ones minds, builds ones character, and determines ones destiny. Having pointed that out, I have an experience to share. The scriptures make us to understand the people of God which was Israel at the time perished due to lack of knowledge. Simply put the people did not have adequate and true information or knowledge about their God and even if they did they rejected the truth. They often times let their selves be deceived by false teachings and the unbelievers around them. They began to indulge in the ungodly acts that God had instructed them not to do.  The scriptures also implore us as Christians to study the word of God to show ourselves approved and to rightly divide the word of truth. To expand...

LAMBS AMONG WOLVES; THE CHRISTIAN JOURNEY

Luke 10:3 Jesus Christ himself was aware of the task he gave his disciples. He knew he was sending them into a dangerous world. A world that that is/has been plagued by evil, and is governed by satan, but still he is here to save us (man) rather than leave us to our destruction. Jesus Christ sent out his disciples as lambs among wolves. He knew there will be persecution of his disciples, there will be rejection of his Gospel he has sent them to preach. But for those who lose their lives to the gospel will gain it. It  doesn't  mean necessarily getting killed for identifying with Christ (at times death happens), it means God will not send us out to the world and not back us with his power. Furthermore, it means we are surrendering ourselves to his manifestation in our lives. We as Christians letting His glory shine through us, as people witness the power of the gospel in our lives, and by that the Spirit ministers to the people of the world. The task Christ gave t...

THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION

Luke 9:56 Jesus has not come to destroy men’s lives (sinners/saved alike). His purpose is to save lives, to make us realise that through him there is salvation, no condemnation, and no judgement of the past. Jesus wants to save you, me, and all men. As followers of Christ, servants, sons, and daughters alike, we should always do as he has instructed us to win souls for the kingdom of God rather than seek the end of unbelievers just because they do not recognise our faith or they ignore our faith.  Jesus has called us to preach to the whole world and not to take it upon our self-righteous attitude to condemn, judge people.   In that we were yet sinners, he called us and delivered us from the clutches of death, by his perfection we were made perfect. By His sacrifice we are made righteous in the sight of God. As Christians the gospel we preach is in our actions, and everyday lives. We should never be too proud because we have that salvation others living contrary ...

The Call To Repentance

Luke 9:23-25 Accepting Christ means dying to the world, and dying to the flesh. Dying to the  lust of earthly desires and vanity. Accepting and following Christ means acknowledging your weakness and frailty knowing that you're not perfect; to be confident and totally dependent on God for in Him there is life everlasting. What will it profit you to toil and gather riches, power and wealth only to die without knowing Jesus Christ without believing in his sacrifice and without fulfilling your divine purpose. Jesus calls us to live for eternity and to do the work he started; to bring people into the new life of His righteousness by faith as opposed to our righteousness by works (human effort). We do not need be perfect before we approach Him. He knows our weakness and frailty, but by His resurrection granted us His righteousness, and all he requires of us is to preach His goodness to others that they might be free from the law, self righteousness, that he freed us from by ident...

THANK GOD FOR JESUS

T hank God for Jesus Christ. Thank God for making the ultimate sacrifice for man. Man in our fallibility is beyond redemption by his own standard We already failed in our ability to redeem ourselves After a series of personal experience and inward reflection, I put it that we all are not without sin No matter how hard we try to prove we can do it on our own the more we fail There is no perfection in sin, since the Eden experience where man embraced sin the perfection of the flesh was corrupted Thank God for the perfection of His Son. God cannot and will never behold sin, but yet he still tolerates us No it isn’t double standard, but mercy Mercy on who? You Through who? His Son When God looks at us, he doesn’t see us in our nature We in ourselves cannot behold his presence with our filth no matter our self-righteousness He sees his ultimate sacrifice in us, when God looks at us He sees his Son’s sacrifice And it is becaus...
