AN INDEPENDENCE DAY WITHOUT THE DAME

I do not know what it feels like living a day without a Dame not because am lame rather because am not yet married .It is even more difficult imagining a day without your first lady if you aren't in President Jonathan's shoes.

Let's ask the President to recount his continuous experience of well over 3 weeks without his Omalisa.

In less than 24 hours,Nigeria will celebrate her 52nd Independence Anniversary from the British Empire yet with ubiquitous colonies of oppression littering the country.

A country of an approximate 170 Millions of people comprising of 250 ethnic groups with varying languages and customs, creating a country of rich ethnic diversity and estimated and catalogued 521 languages, this number includes 510 living languages, two second languages without native speakers and nine extinct languages.

The seventh most populous country in the world and accounts for about 18% of the population in Africa, now the 12th largest producer of petroleum in the world and the 8th largest exporter with the 10th largest proven reserves.

Now,the ugly contrast. The current unemployment rate in Nigeria stands at 23.9% as made available by the National Bureau of Statistics(NBS),which is higher in the rural areas(25.6%) than in the urban areas(17.1%).

It is saddening that Nigeria is blessed with enormous natural and human resources resonates around Angola in the rate of unemployment(Angola 25%),Botswana(17.5%),Egypt(11.8%) and Kenya(11.7%).

Insecurity is about the worse in the history of Nigeria.Thousands of people have died over the past few years in communal attacks led by al-Qaeda ally Boko Haram.Separatist aspirations have been growing, prompting reminders of the bitter civil war over the breakaway of Biafran Republic in the late 1960s.

With over 153 bodies recovered from the tragic Dana Air crash on June 3rd,2012,our airspace has become a dead trap as our state and federal roads.

The level of corruption and institutionalized frauds has reached the climax since independence.Petroleum Scam,Pension Fraud,Halliburton Scandal and the likes.

Injustice and inequality in our legal systems and lack of independence of key government institutions are drawbacks to a true democracy.

Hopes were high at the emergence of GEJ as the Nigerian president, little did we know he is also a chip from the old bricks.

Lastly, the health sector in Nigeria is in total shambles and has done worse than the oil companies in abstaining from supporting the teeming population.Nigerians spends well over US$6.25 Billion annually on medical bills in foreign countries enough to drive key infrastructures, put some of our refineries to work, boost the economy and improve the health sector which is the reason Mr President will celebrate this year's independence without his Dame.

I wish the first lady of Nigeria soonest recovery and the Nigerian people a true Independence to come!

LOVE OR MONEY: WHICH COMES FIRST?

Love a very universal human language, and also a universal feeling.   We feel love anywhere and everywhere, for someone or everyone. In this publication we’ll be looking at Love and Money in relationships amongst couples and lovers. Love is a strong feeling of affection, a feeling of strong conviction that someone feels the same way we do.   Unfortunately, in our world of today love has been redefined with exceptions, and variables you would say.   Some examples of variables we can say age, money, tribe, and so on....   But we will be looking at a very and more crucial issue- Love and Money. Today love is usually equated with money, in other words, no money, no love.   By surprise this definition of love is the common trend these days. I have talked with people who said she can’t go out with a guy who can’t or don’t have money (spend money in the sense of Luxury), and it got me thinking if there were no anomalies maybe guys of average class won’t even get a chance to go on a

THANK GOD FOR JESUS

T hank God for Jesus Christ. Thank God for making the ultimate sacrifice for man. Man in our fallibility is beyond redemption by his own standard We already failed in our ability to redeem ourselves After a series of personal experience and inward reflection, I put it that we all are not without sin No matter how hard we try to prove we can do it on our own the more we fail There is no perfection in sin, since the Eden experience where man embraced sin the perfection of the flesh was corrupted Thank God for the perfection of His Son. God cannot and will never behold sin, but yet he still tolerates us No it isn’t double standard, but mercy Mercy on who? You Through who? His Son When God looks at us, he doesn’t see us in our nature We in ourselves cannot behold his presence with our filth no matter our self-righteousness He sees his ultimate sacrifice in us, when God looks at us He sees his Son’s sacrifice And it is becaus

DESIGNING RESPONSIVE LOGOS

If you are here for the first time, you can get up to speed reading our previous post on what responsive logo is- Moving on! This article is not just for advanced or seasoned graphic designers alone. Starting your first designing class or DIY learning? If yes, you can also pick a few things to add to your knowledge as you plan on using your designing skills in the industry playground. How to design a responsive logo in FIVE easy steps 1. Make at least four different versions When you break down a responsive logo, you’ll find three or four different versions of the same logo, varying in size and their level of detail. Keep that in mind as you start experimenting with the format. If you already know where you are going to use your logos, you can model your four versions around those locations. If not, you can copy the format used by the top name brands on the right. Your first variation should be your master logo, containing all the information you want to communicate, plus any ex
