THE WRITER'S PERSPECTIVE

This Messi-Cristiano comparison is baseless in my opinion, I was discussing it with a friend who is also a CR fan but says the Messi goal vs. Bayern Munich seems too exquisite for Ronaldo to pull off. Even if he did score, it would not be in that fashion, and I was like… heck yeah! It would not. Ronaldo wouldn't have done it in same fashion instead he'd shoot, my friend said. And I was like so? Cristiano should dribble too and score, will you then approve? And even if he does it...someone somewhere will say he's a copycat. This unfair comparison doesn’t go down well with me. It's best you admit preference…simple. Sentimentally I'm attached to Cristiano because he once played for Manchester United (My favorite team). I expect fans of either player to have other preferences as to why each are favorites for them, But to deny either one their earned place in football's history over who's number one is total crap. We knew/know Cristiano because of his exploits
